Bipolar Support Group
The aim of this support group is to assist individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder and those whom they share their lives with to live life to its fullest.
Who can join?
Everyone up to the age of 40 diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Older individuals please contact Bipolar And Related Disorders (BARD) - 012 348 6057
Why join?
Upon joining the support group you will receive the following benefits:
- Full hand analysis.
- A manual outlining all aspects of the condition, including guidelines for those whom you share your life with.
- Attendance to group meetings for one year.
- Participation in all the events and activities of the group for one year.
- Meeting other individuals who have been diagnosed with bipolar.
- The opportunity to introduce those whom you share your life with to others who also live with individuals who are bipolar.
When does the group meet?
Group meetings are on the last Tuesday evening of each month with the exception of December when it is on the first Tuesday of the month.
What other activities are planned?
During the year the following activities will be organised in collaboration with group members:
- Morning hike on a weekend.
- Picnic on a day during a weekend.
- DVD & Pizza evening.
- Braai & board games afternoon.
- Other suggestions by group members will also be considered.
What does it cost?
All inclusive cost is R2 000.00 per annum and membership will only be confirmed when payment is received.
